These patented one piece steel clamps eliminate the # 1 cause of oil leaks from valve covers, and that cause is flange distortion and uneven clamping pressures. By providing an equal amount of clamping pressure to the valve cover flange throughout the perimeter of the cover, the gaskets seal instantly and provide years of leakproofing protection without the use of gasket sealer.
The unique design allows the clamps to slip over most O.E.M. and aftermarket stamped type valve covers. (These were notdesigned for cast aluminum covers) No more having to grind a set of "universal" load spreaders and hope they will work. These clamps are designed to fit each different engine family's unique valve cover shape without all the hassles. Every kit comes with the required extended length bolts to finish the installation. The clamps are designed to provide years of worry free leakproofing protection.
As an added bonus, if rubber gaskets are used, (of which we highly recommend), the valve covers can be removed and installed repeatably, such as in racing or dyno testing, and you can re-use the same gaskets over and over. Our testing has revealed that standard non re-inforced rubber gaskets work fine and stand up to years of leakproofing protection. While cork style gaskets can be used, our testing has revealed that rubber gaskets offer much better protection and durability. Our clamps also help prevent the gaskets from being drawn in or blown out due to changes in crankcase pressures. The savings in replacement gaskets, sealer, and labor alone will pay for a set of our clamps in no time.
